Hey there ! My name is Melissa but most of my friends call me Mel. I'm 20 something years old and currently live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. My favorite activities include shopping, baking, spending time with my little sister and my best friends, karaoke, dancing, reading (mainly C.S. Lewis, lately), learning (mainly about the human body these days), making art, helping others, and wearing hats.
I was recently accepted into nursing school and will be graduation nursing class of 2013 at Rogers State University (Go Hillcats! Fear the claw)! I have a degree in political science and was planning on attending law school but because of a personal experience recently decided to enter the medical field. I hope to work in the neuro ICU (at least that's the game plan for now) because the brain is my all time favorite organ (for personal reasons, mainly).
I'm going to try to document the next two years to the best of my ability. There are a lot of changes taking place from this new educational endeavor to a new job. I hope you tag along and will enjoy my journey with me :).
